Consider the Lilies of the Field

"And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin:"
Matthew 6:28

"And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these."
verse 29

"Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith?"
verse 30

God provides all our needs!  :)

Mockingjay and "The Girl on Fire"

Hi friends, ^.^

Ever wondered what in the world are you going to do with them cute, little bottles that you get from your circle lenses???  Sometimes, I feel bad to just throw them away @.@  You know, we gotta be eco-friendly and stuff.  (Maybe, we can give them away with the rest of our recyclable glass.)

Anyway, I've gots a great idea!

Ping!

I repurposed them into...

...Miniature Vases!

They make for really cute flower arrangements ^__________^

I may be seeing things, but I name
this arrangement The Mockingjay :)

A tribute to the "girl on fire"

You know where I've been! :D

I'm definitely a fan now~

And if you are, too, then here's for you.  Enjoy much!

Black and Pink Sakura Nail Art tutorial

^0^ Waaaaau~~

I've been trying to finish this post for the past hours but I've been gawking over My Weekend with Marilyn.  : )  Michelle Williams gave a splendid performance!  ^^b

Any-kahoots, this is my simple tutorial on cherry blossom-themed nails.  I will try to be as clear as I can since this is not a picture-by-picture tutorial, which people are more keen about.  But what can I say?  Hehehe!  XD

This design is so simple to do, you're gonna laugh because of all the extra time you'll have, say, to read a book or watch a good movie like the one mentioned above. :D

Let's get started, shall we?  ^___^

Black and Pink Sakura nail art tutorial  ❀❀❀

You'll need straight painting guides from a French manicure kit, black, pink, and sheer French pink nail polishes, nail stickers, and top coat.

  • First, apply the painting guides diagonally on your nails.  You can skip this step if you have steady hands, but it makes the job so much easier ;)
  • Second, apply the black and pink nail colors, alternating them between your nails: black on the thumb, pink on the pointer, black on the middle, pink on the ring finger and black on the pinky.
  • Do the opposite diagonal direction with your other hand, with the opposite alternation of colors: pink, black, pink, black, pink.
  • Apply the colors twice.
  • Apply the sheer French pink color over your nails.  (Don't worry, it should be sheer enough that the base colors will still show through.)
  • Apply the nail stickers on the thumb and ring finger.  (Only on two fingers so it wouldn't look overdone.)
  • Lastly, seal with top coat!

Yup, that's all!  I'm sure that you will finish this manicure in less time it took me to write this post.  :D  Have fun!

Flowers in Photographs

I did some small-scale photography in my mother's garden yesterday❁❁❁, which I wanted to post since last night but I was as sleepy as a 500 pound BEAR in wintertime.  Still feeling beat today because I just finished grading 20 pounds worth of papers @.@ and MAJOR (-______-)zzz

"Why don't you just sleep, then?" you may ask.

Like, yeah?  But I must spare you from that boredom over there, in that part of the world where you should be doing your homework or thesis or that data your boss told you to finish more than an hour ago!  By the way, thanks for reading!  It really encourages me ^0^♡

So, without further ado!  Treasure sharing time!

Miniature Rose

This is my favorite photo :)  The backdrop
reminds me of a garden in a country that
I've never been to.  It's like a garden from
Alice in Wonderland.

Dendrobium

Hi Carrot!

Thai Plumeria

A local ground orchid species.  The blossom
is actually just as tiny as your fingertip, but it
is as proud and joyful as any flower ^_^

Dama de Noche (Lady of the Night)
*Sighs* If I could take a photo of its
fragrance, I would so I could show you how
beautiful it is.  The flowers bloom at night,
sending forth the most alluring scent any
flower can muster.

I am so blessed to have my Ma and her love for growing things.  ^♥^  And I can share her passion with you~

Real Life Sundays, ed. 2

Kamusta!  And Привет (sorry, I googled that because I don't know any Russian, except for the really occasional Cyrillic that I understand enough to be able to read T^T)

Lovely Sunday again :)  I just wanted to share a bit with you! ^0^b

At Wendy's with my almost twin!

Baja Salad that I wish they could have
taken the time to make less sloppy... ;)

Check out who's in Yogurtland! =^.^=

My favorite yogurt flavors: coconut and plain tart with my usual lychee,
mochi, cheesecake bites, and almonds :d Yum!

Miniature anthurium in Ma's mother.
Waaa-wow!

Spotted Phalaenopsis

It ain't Easter so this is Eggplant Hunting!
^^

Nice find ^^  I think it's one of Sally Hansen's
new line: Smooth and Perfect.  This is in Sorbet.

Really nice product especially if you have sensitive skin and are lazy. :D
I didn't know about it when I bought it till today when I saw a TV ad
claiming it's the #1 skin care brand in the UK.  Is that true?
