My Beauty Faves, ed. 3

Tried and True

I've got these products for a while now and have been wanting to write about them.  They are fantastic things for the face and have nearly been fool-proof ("nearly" because like nobody, nothin' is perfect).

K-Palette 1-Day Tattoo Real Lasting Eyepencil in Black
What I love about it?
This pencil liner is super smooth!  It glides effortlessly on my skin and doesn't tug at all- saving myself from wrinkles.  The color is very dark too.  If I want lasting eyeliner, I put this on first and follow it with liquid liner.  The only down side of this product is that there isn't much product in that long pencil.  :(  Looks are quite deceptive.
Lancome Teint Miracle
What I love about it?
This foundation has a very light and watery consistency.  Which is amazing because it has fantastic coverage!  (Neither too light nor heavy).  It also photographs very well.  I like using it on special occasions.

Lancome Bienfait Multi-Vital
What I love about it?
This daytime moisturizer has been the best for my skin.  It is also very light and does not feel sticky on my face.  It also has SPF 35 so it gently protects my skin and prevents wrinkles.
Dolly Wink 02 Volume Mascara in Black
What I love about it?
I am an avid fan of Dolly Wink's volume mascara because it really delivers!  When they talk about volume, it is serious business.  The brush has changed from their purple version, so I was skeptical at first.  However, the change seems to be for the better.  ^^  I will write a more comprehensive review sometime in the arbitrary future.  Hehehe... ^^;;

 Promising Finds

I also found these products that seem to soon be included on my Beauty Faves list.  I've used them for only a few times but they have been really good! ^_^

Holika Holika Face 2 Change Liquid Roller BB Cream in #2
What I love about it?
I've only used this twice and so far.  Although it seems to be slightly fairer than my skin color, it eventually blends with my color as the day progresses.  The roller feature is fun to use as it evenly distributes the product.
Nerium Night Cream
What I love about it?
Have you heard of this?  It's supposed to be a miracle in a bottle.  I was hesitant at first because it costs quite a lot: $80 for 30 mL, monthly.  But when I saw the results on my friend, I was sold.  Her spots and pimples faded within 5 weeks!  Amazing!  So, I'm on my way with creating my own testimony about it.  I've tried it for 5 days and I can say that my pores have become smaller and the texture of my skin smoother.  Also my pimple scars faded a bit.  I'm excited to see more results.
Lancome Rouge in Love in 353M
What I love about it?
I've got two problems with lip colors: 1) Lipstick color lasts but dries the lips 2) Tinted lip balm moisturizes my lips but the color quickly disappears.
This lipstick seems to be the best thing to bring both of these worlds together.  It's buttery and moisturizing while having that intense and beautiful color that stays. ^^

CIRCLE LENSES TO REVIEW

These just came in the mail and they are very comfortable.  The 3rd circle lenses are sponsored by Loveshoppingholics.  They are going to be my first sponsored anything ^_^  I haven't opened them yet but I am excited.

Geo Medical Eyes Cream in Vanilla Brown

G&G/Dueba Shinny Puffy 3 Tone in Gray
Candy Pop in Blue
iii
I used most of these products in this photo, with my foundation as the Holika Holika BB Cream.

Giyomi yourself to sleep.  Good night!

Update:
I changed my portraits here because the previous' photos were so yellow.  (-____-)  That's what cooks my turkey with my camera- stupid color references unless it's sunlight.  Oh!  And I also blurred my armpits. ;)  I got SO bothered when I saw them so gray and so gross!  I've just saved you from any psychological trauma those pits would have made.

G&G Blossom in Brown Review

I bought these along with EOS Ice in Green a couple of months ago from Honeycolor.com- which is actually having a FREE SHIPPING promo right now until the end of the month.  I was not paid to write this review nor was I sponsored.  Unpaid and un-famous bloggers like me are just nice for free! ^-^

Review
Modality: 1 year
Base Curve: 8.8 mm
Diameter: 14.5 mm
Water Content: 38%

Color
2/5  The brown is neither vibrant nor apparent against my already brown eyes.

Design
4/5  These lenses are designed for the dolly look, rather than for their color or naturalness.  I like how the design softens my look, although I am not usually keen on having buggy eyes.  But I must admit that with the right make-up, it looks really cute in photos.  I would give it a lower point if I wanted a more natural design but decided against it because I think it serves its purpose.

Enlargement
5/5  Although it is 14.5, I will just give it the full 5 points because of its thick limbal ring that really enlarges the eyes.

Comfort
4/5  Very comfortable but seems to blur my weird right eye a little.  This category will depend on the wearer.

Overall
3/5  I like these lenses (I only review what I like, btw).  They are great for cute dolly looks.  I fell in love with the design, which reminded me of my once beloved Geo Hurricanes.  Also, G&G/Dueba are very comfortable for my eyes.  What I didn't like was that they are not natural, which means I wouldn't want to sport them on a daily basis.

I've grown to like my Dolly Wink lashes a lot.
They are the most comfortable compared to the other brands that
I've tried so far.
Lat one because I'm wearing a cute headband I got from
Lotte World back in 2010.  And what can I say?  I like me.

Geo Tricolor Gray Review

I am not paid to write this but FYI, LoveShoppingholics (formerly known as Shoppingholics) is having a Christmas promo.  I hope to chance up on their "Buy 2, Get 1 Pair of Free Circle Lens."  It'd be the perfect time to check them out.

I bought the lenses for this review from the aforementioned company.

♥♥♥

I've previously written a review on this series from Geo.  (Before the pomp and glory of my hybrid camera--- which I want to replace with a real DSLR someday, not so soon though).  You can check out my review here.  <---There, ok?

Geo Tricolor Gray Review

Usage Modality: Yearly
Base Curve: 8.6 mm
Diameter: 14.0 mm
Water Content: 38%

Color
2/5 The color of this series is not vibrant.  It has to be in the proper lighting in order to show more.

Design
3/5 This category is purely subjective.  I am not particularly keen on the pixelated design- which is not obvious from afar.  But up close?  Perhaps only if the person is being confrontational and being all up in your face, or kissing you.  Hehehe...

Enlargement
2/5 At 14.0 mm diameter and the absence of a bolder limbal ring, these lenses are not for enlargement.

Comfort
5/5 I don't know whether it is simply because my eyeballs are perhaps made of steel or I am just lucky, but I have been so comfortable with many circle lenses recently, especially with Geo.  And the same story goes for these lenses.  However, my eyes tend to become dry and redden more these days, but they're not in pain.

Overall
4/5 I am being subjective with this category, too.  I am not so picky with these lenses.  I like how they do not enlarge my eyes so much.  I use these as my everyday lenses because I feel like they won't freak people out as compared to ones with 15.0 mm.  And oh!  They ARE comfortable.  ^__^

These are the lenses I used for the Angelina Jolie look.
This is me looking like a yawning hippo because
I was getting tired and bored of photoshoots.  ^0^

EOS Ice Green Review

Is the circle lens trend getting old yet?  Well, I certainly hope not because a bunch of them look so pretty on me.  Hehehe!  (Whatever to myself...)

Anyway, I've come to the conclusion that green looks fabulous on me.  I am not kidding as you'll see later.  And I am currently in love with EOS Ice Green.  So in love that I've decided that I must write a review on it although I've only owned it for 2 days.  And, if I change any opinions about these lenses, I'll be sure to update you, folks!  ^_^

Review
Usage modality:  Yearly
Base curve:  8.8 mm
Diameter:  14.8 mm
Water content:  38%

Color
4/5  In my opinion, the color shows up quite well with my brown eyes.  However, this will still depend on the lighting.

Design
5/5  The design is unique and is not very unnatural because the limbal ring is not thick.

Enlargement
4/5  These lenses will make the eyes larger quite significantly.  After all, they are 14.8 mm in diameter.  But because of the absence of a thick limbal ring, Ice Green won't give off an alien-look.  To know how I try to rate lens sizes objectively, click on Frosty the Snowman:

Comfort
4/5  Comfortable!  My other pair of EOS, which were the Adult Brown series, blurred my vision.  BUT EOS Ice is an entirely different story.  I really like it because it keeps my vision clear.  However, it became dry after only a few hours.  I will update this review when I feel that this has changed.  I've worn these lenses for one time only.

Overall
4/5  I really like these lenses, and because I feel that the too-large, dolly eye trend is dying down,  I am glad that these don't make me look too freakish.  They're decent too in terms of comfort.  By the way, Honeycolor is holding a free shipping promotion and a sale right now, so why not check them out and get yourself a pair at a discounted price!  ^____^

Drama shot!  ♥♥♥
Free cute piggy cases.  Asians know how to treat customers better than usual ^_^

Until next time, everyone!  And I promise a devo!  ^___^  Good night!

UPDATE:
I conclude that it makes my eyes look buggy, but the color is so opaque and these lenses make me look so nice, I will remain a happy camper.

Shinny Puffy 3 Tone in Brown Review

The Shinny Puffy 3 Tone series is SUPER comfortable!  SUPER fave!  SUPER love!

That's it!

This review is done and I hope I already got you sold on that!

Just kidding! ^0^

Of course, I will be much more thorough than that.  I've just set the tone for the rest of this review: MAJOR plus+++

I got mine from Shoppingholics.com if you don't already know me (that I ♥ shopping with them).  ^-^  They sell a variety of contact lenses and Asian beauty products.  They do a great job of servicing internationally and spoil their customers with freebies.  I got more hair velcro, by the way (-.-)  Hehehe!

Let's go on to the review!

Shinny Aqua (aka Dueba Puffy 3 Tone Aqua) Review

Usage modality:  Yearly
Base curve:  8.6 mm
Diameter:  14.5 mm
Water content:  38%

Color
4/5  Interestingly, it was not the brown that I expected.  I am becoming more accustomed to the color, and to be honest, I love it!  It just shocked me when I first wore these lenses that they looked "Twilight"-ish (golden.)  Anyway, this color can make dark brown eyes look lighter.

Design
5/5  Like Shinny Aqua, I really like this design.  It looks beautiful and not overbearingly exaggerated.  Almost natural, but gives the eyes more sparkle.

Enlargement
4/5  It will significantly enlarge the eyes (see photo comparison below) but because of the design, these would not make the eyes look too unnatural.  Yes, it can still be "dolly" but will not make the eyes look so lifeless.  (I hope you understood that.  Hehe!)  To know how I try to rate lens sizes objectively, click on the big flower:

Comfort
5/5  It's AMAZING how I don't even feel these in my eyes for about 5 hours and more.  From time to time, it is advisable to put on eye drops to prevent reddening of the eyes like my photos below.  My contacts did not feel dried out, but since eyes still need to breathe, it's just right to hydrate them.  Remember that dryness can strain your eyes and this may cause them to blur, according to my eye doctor.  I've had this lenses for around 2-3 months already for this review.

Overall
5/5  I've just had such a love-fest with these lenses because they are very pretty and mighty comfortable!  That's it!  And that's saying a lot!

What's wrong with this photo?  I'm missing an earring!  hahaha!
I'm sorry for the spaghetti strap.  I am not mahalay, ok? >.<
Just lazy.  Too lazy to throw on a cardigan on such a hot weather.
But see?  I saved you from unnecessary trauma a cleavage may ensue!
:D Haha!

Contemporary Audrey Hepburn-Inspired Look

Hello Blogging Peeps!

It's been a few days.  I've just been on an adventure!  (That was the exciting thing I was telling you all about).  Now, every time there is an adventure, there's the photo editing and uploading...  Super yuck!  D:  There should be some sort of magic to this.  Oh yeah,  it's called Instagram, but alas, I didn't bring my phone.  D:  Huhuhu!

Anyway, I'll catch you up on that later. (^.~)v  I want to briefly feature Dot. Dot 7-Color Stardust Eye Shadow Compact.

The colors aren't very accurate here because my room is very pink ^^;;

Here's something more accurate.
Image taken from Shoppingholics.com.

It's a Taiwanese product that I bought from Shoppingholics.com, and it's just as promised- like stardust!  I love the shimmer and the colors!  It's smooth, pigmented, and a must-have in your collection, especially because it's not very expensive.

The cover of the palette features a pop image of Audrey Hepburn (my ♥♥♥) and I was really inspired to do a contemporary take on her look in Breakfast at Tiffany's.

My Take

I got a crown, too! ^___^

And I tanned for the summer so my make-up does not really match my skin tone anymore.
*Sigh*  At least I tanned doing things I loved ^___^

Shinny Aqua Review

Shinny Aqua has quickly become a favorite of mine!  And after this review, you'll know why.  I purchased my pair from Shoppingholics.com, my go-to shop for circle lenses and Asian cosmetics.

Shinny Aqua (aka Dueba Puffy 3 Tone Aqua) Review

Usage modality:  Yearly
Base curve:  8.6 mm
Diameter:  14.5 mm
Water content:  38%

Color
4/5  Despite the fact that it is not aqua, its blue color is absolutely vibrant and noticeable.  I am simply in love with this color and love how it brightens my eyes.  The touch of yellow in the pupil area is supposed to mimic natural blue eyes, where the blue does not drastically contrast with the brown of the eyes.
Design
5/5  This is where I will be subjective- I really like the design.  I think it gives the eyes a gem-like quality.   b(*0*)d
Enlargement
4/5  14.5 diameter.  It will enlarge the irises considerably.  However, the lack of a bold or dark limbal ring will not exaggerate the size of the eyes too much.  To know how I more objectively rate lens sizes, click on the link HERE!  ^_^
Comfort
5/5  Very comfortable.  Although it is not advisable, it can stay comfortable for more than 8 hours.  (I'm kind of naughty...)  I've had my pair for a couple of months now, and it has remained comfortable.  I am ecstatic about that! ^-^  However, comfort level can be varied from person to person.
Overall
5/5  It's a gorgeous model of circle lenses!  Vibrancy, design, and comfort are there and has made my experience with my pair a delight.  I really like dressing it up with simple eye make-up and demi lashes (only on the outer corners of my eyes) and it turns out so lovely.  (^.~)v
P.S. Opti Free PureMoist, a new formula, has made my contact-lens wearing much more comfortable.  Not an ad.  Just letting you know.  ^_^

Real Life Sunday, ed. 9

Today may just be the most lethargic day of my summer...  It's so warm outside and while it makes other people energetic enough to head to the beach, it only makes me groggier and I refuse to move around in this heat!  It will only make me feel hotter... Cat nap!

I wanted to post some photos before I conk out.  It's not exactly Sunday now but some cool things had happened during the past week.

Yesterday, I went to watch MIB3.  I liked it because of the humor and the heart at the end of the movie. (I won't give it away!)  But, I was trying to remember whether it had any cohesiveness with the previous two.  Oh, well!  It's good fun. ^_^

A couple of days ago my little sister and I had lunch with a couple of friends from church.  They are sisters, too- really sweet, really smart, and pretty adventurous.  Hehehe!

Anyway, here are the photos. ^___^

Yogurtland with friends~  Nyami!  :9

After lunch and desserts, my sister and I went shopping.  I got some sheets and pillows at Ross, made me feel a little more grown-up.  Bed sheets are what adults buy, right?  Haha!  :D  Then we headed to Duty Free so I could get myself a present ^-^  It's almost my birthday!  Yay!
My Alice in Wonderland bag is just darling ^_^  I got
it from Disneyland.  Oh look~ Duffy is tagging
along, too! ⊂( ̄() ̄)⊃

Salvatore Ferragamo's Incanto Charms
I like the youthful fruity scent.  I'm not a perfume connoisseur but I do
know what I like, which are fruity and youthful scents.  Heavy floral
scents make me feel a bit nauseous.

Anna Sui Flight of Fancy
It's one of my favorite scents.  As you can see, it's empty ^^;;
Just kept the pretty bottle and box.

Lastly, I finally got a hair cut and touch-up on my roots.  I think Maria from Salon Fusion did a splendid job. ^____^  Thank you!
No more Taylor Swift curls.  I got bangs, too!
And Maria layered my hair to help shape my square jaw.

Look of the Day:
Face: Etude House Precious Mineral BB Cream
Bright Fit in W13 Natural Beige, MAC Studio Fix in
NC 30, MAC Tres Cheek blush in Petal Peony, Etude
House
Sweet Eye Cupcake (used the pink shade as
a highlighter).
Eyes: Cezanne Four Color Lame Eyeshadow in 01
Brown
, Lancome Le Crayon Kohl pencil eyeliner in
Ebony Black, Etude House Proof 10 in Proof Black,
Koji Spring Heart false eyelashes in 06 Elegant Long
(very natural lashes- a great find!), Sguard Rock On
Mascara~ Black, Geo Princess Mimi in Apple Green
(Super comfortable lenses and really dolly kawaii).
Lips: MAC Lipglass in Pink Poodle.

That's all!  I don't think I want to write a review for Geo Princess Mimi.  There are so many out there! ^_^  But what I can say is that these are very comfortable lenses and they are one of the staples of gyaru look.

Don't forget to join my giveaway!
