Real Life Sundays, ed. 26: Happy Easter! and Sasa Haul Mini Reviews

"When He was on the cross, I was on his mind." -Unknown
"Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead..." 1 Peter 1:3
He is risen! Victory is His forever and ever!

❀ Happy Easter! ❀

♥♥♥

I had a very restful Easter Break.  I did not even touch the work I took home at all!  Hehehe!  ^^;;  Even grad applications...  Omehgesh!  Which I really need to skedaddle with!  >.<  Break, we say therefore, break I'll get.

Since this may be the last post I write for the next plenty of weeks (unless it's not...  I'm very unpredictable with this), I will flood this one with random photos and stories.

Mini Review

Kosé Cosmagic Exte Bomber Mascara in Black

I bought this from Sasa.com.  ^^ (Great store, btw, if you have a physical mailing address.) It's a lengthening mascara.  It even comes with a lash guard that challenges you to measure your lashes with.  I haven't used the lash guard but the mascara sure does lengthen.  I am not keen with this product though because I'd rather have fluffy and full lashes.
Here's another photo for y'all:

Arrow indicating lengthening prowess of this mascara.  Also observe that it doesn't
volumize my lashes in any way.  The voluminous ends of my eyes
are demi-lashes.

In conclusion, I still wuv me some Dolly Wink Volume Mascara.  This mascara gets ♥♥♥♡♡ (3 full hearts out of 5).

Koji Spring Heart Eyeliner in Black

Another product from Sasa.com.  I chose this because of its great value.  And it is a wonderful product!  It has intense black color, a sturdy felt tip that draws thick and thin lines, and is resistant to water, sweat, and oil.  I would purchase it again if only I had a physical address for mailing or if I became shameless enough to bother someone who actually has one.  ///-_-///

Sparkly package

Those are what's on this face:

Photo Diary

Although Guam doesn't have a spring season, the fashion certainly does.  Most likely because Guam imports clothes from countries with seasons.  Ironic with my personality, I have so many dark and grey clothes.  I guess sometimes I am a gloomy person inside.  But I wanted a change in perspective and such and such and such.  So I decided that my closet could use some colors.  Spring and pastels are so pleasant and sunny anyway- which are more like me!

Also, I got my perm redone.  I now look like Merida!  Which I love, because that's one less thing to think about- you know, brushing my hair.  Hehehe!  I just wish though that I could be an arrow-wielding kick-butt like her.

Since I really need to get some shut-eye, I'll just put up these last photos mindlessly:

My ugly nails in Easter egg colors.  Hey, they kinda look like eggs after all!

Stinky and harsh chemicals and a bowl around my neck- the things we ladies do
in the name of beauty.

Excuse me while I fall for--- moi!  Hehehe!

Good night, world! Good night!  You've been too good!
See you in a week or so! Or so, so, so!

Real Life Sundays, ed. 25

Happy Sunday!

I've been having magical Sundays for the past few weeks.  And yes, that is probably why I haven't been blogging- I am just drinking in the magic *___*

I just feel so blessed!  And these two weeks of much-needed vacation have been so refreshing to my mind and spirit.  As for my physical body, too much food.  ^_^
Gift for myself ^_^  Anna Sui is total cuteness~  Luhvvit!

My little sister really knows me:

Bringing in the new year with bold colors.
Christmas concert and fireworks with my friends❊❊❊

So I tried watercolor painting since I haven't held an art brush for a long time.  I love watercolor because the finished product is always a surprise.

Bringing out the kid within: kite flying on such an amazing day. ^_^
Had dinner with my friend and ended up being goofballs at the annual Christmas
lights setup in Tumon.

Dolly eyed look for my upcoming circle lens review.
✌Peace for this week!  I am back to work in the morning!  :S

Real Life Sundays, ed. 20

As sweet music filled the room, as he and I tried to grab for the cup of tea we were sharing, and as our hands slightly touched (by accident, of course!), I couldn't help but try to figure out how could this moment be any more perfect?

"Ah!  It would be perfect if this dude actually liked me back," I brooded because we are irritatingly stuck in the "Friend Zone."

Then she walked in.  I sat there gawking at her and her legs that came all the way up to her neck.  Tall, slim nose, big brown eyes, and skin without a hint of blemish from ten-feet away.  Super gorgeous girl! "Why now, girl???  Why you come tonight???" and I... slightly died inside.

I looked to my right.  Mr. Friend/Crush- mouth a bit opened.  I couldn't blame him.  Couldn't blame him at all.  At least, he and I can gawk at her in perfect unison.

♥♥♥

So....... there are actually people out there mighty blessed with natural beauty!  Rare breed indeed.  But for the rest of us who are not--- thank You, God, for make-up!  And as to console my uh... wounded heart(?)  pride(?), I have taken my chiyo-est photos of these past 2 weeks and decided to share them with you :)

Oh ok.. this one is not so chiyo.  I'm not a fan of glasses.
Hey my skin is not bad here!  There are apps out there that
smoothen skin, if you don't already know.  But none here!  Haha!
But I guess it's the low-grade front camera of iPhone that makes
 me look so smooth.  Hehehe!
Sunday's best ^____^

Hehehe!  My soul consoled.  You may think I am so vain.  Haha!  Honestly, sometimes.  *blushes*
My Ma calls it, "Nang-gigil ka naman sa sarili mo."  :)  Can't translate it directly but it's something in the line of thinking myself so cute.  :D

♥♥♥

Anywhoots!  This post will not be only about my face!  And here it is!

Went GPO and had a date with myself.  *cries*
Fill up your stamp card and get FREE FOOD!  ^0^
My fat princess: Gen-Gen! =^.^=
My sister in Sunday's best.
My BF in a disc! ♥

To finish up that story about Mr. Friend/Crush and me:

At the end of the open mic, he got up from his seat, opened the door for everyone while bidding them adieu and helping out other musicians haul out drum sets and guitars.

And he was so kind, even to me.  Throughout the entire evening, if he was not helping others, he would sit with me, talk to me, laugh to the point of almost giggling, and make cutesy faces by scrunching his nose at me.

"Oh, I prayed for one of your students this morning," he said.  "What was her name?  Ah!  Monica."*

"Gosh...  Why is he so kind?"  I thought to myself as I wiped my drippy nose with the sleeve of my cardigan.  I was feeling quite un-pretty because of my cold but he looked so nice in his long-sleeve plaid and jeans.  Quite farmer-like in his get-up, but looked so ruggedly tall and handsome- not unlike Jonathan Scott from HGTVs "Property Brothers," my other BF on screen  (heehee!)

Then, the event closed.  I left through the other exit of the cafe, with no good-byes.

♥♥♥
Despite my gushing, I know I am not yet ready for a relationship...  Seriously!  (And I'm not trying to make the "grapes" look sour.)  There are a few things I need to grow on before I decide to be with someone: patience and peace with my emotions and my self-worth.  And... I am not ready to shop for someone else yet!  Hahaha!

My church sister prayed a beautiful prayer for me in which she talked about patience and self-worth.  I cried because that's exactly what I was praying for.

So, if it's Mr. Friend/Crush, only God knows and time will tell.  I am fine with that.  If it's not him, HOORAY to the world!

Real Life Sunday, ed. 19

Happy Anniversary to my church!♥♥♥

Yay!  Performances!  Food!  Dancin'!  Parteh!  Adult prom!  The gents, and most certainly, the ladies got really dressed up.  ^-^  For the first time in a long time, I actually felt underdressed!  Wuh-hat???  Can you believe???  Well, you better believe it!

My A-line dress.  My friend, who is a guy, actually helped
me go shopping for this.  Friends like him are the bomb!
Make-up of the Night: drama on the eyes and played down
the lips.
This angel was my hair inspo.  Isn't she simply lovely?! ^0^
Whee! for the last performance of the night.  They did a swell job!
And it didn't hurt that my older sister played the cajon. ^.^
Dance!  Dance!  Dance!
I didn't :(  because I'm lame like that...

Going a bit random on the photo timeline here.  Bear with me, ok?

Lunch at Tony Roma's because someone (the girl on the left) won us
gift certificates!  Whoo!
I did mention that I love retro red lips!  Yes!  Sporting MAC
lipstick in Russian Red!
Have I ever mentioned that I was a BIG nerd before college?  Then one day, I picked up the paint brush and switched it for a make-up brush.  And voila!  But of course, nerd will always be a part of me.  ^-^
Shhhh....  I cheated here and made my eyes big!  0.0
Coming clean here, folks!  But makes for such a better picture :D
Happy Things!
Raspberry Kit-Kat, anyone?  Verily, verily!  ^-^
You know that you're obsessed when you have two shoebox-ful of nail polishes.
I actually never knew I had this many until I organized them...  I SO had to
stop buying!   :/

I had a terrific week!  (Thank God!)  Even work began to feel better, smell sweeter.  *sigh*  I'm happy and content, and yep!  Even with my nail polish collection.

The church anniversary was also very nice.  It was a new experience for me.  I didn't attend my prom in high school at all, so it was nice to experience something like it.  Hahaha!  But I also found that I feel loneliest in crowded rooms.  Some people thrive in parties, while others, including myself, hide in parties.  It's all preference, really^-^

But I also found that simple dinners and meaningful conversations make my heart smile.  I just came from one tonight.  And my heart smiled.  And it didn't hurt, didn't hurt at all that---.

Well, that's it for tonight!
Good night!
And have a blast for the rest of the week!
