First Sasa Haul

I was amazed when I stumbled upon Sasa.com.  It was like a shopaholic's dream.  They have a plethora of beauty products; A LOT from Asia!  And the prices are not too expensive, too!

Finally got to order from them last month.  I even bothered my friends who were planning for their wedding because Sasa does not ship to PO boxes  *shame-shame* I felt sooo sorry.  O, the thick face I'm growing to get what I want...  Hehehe!

Oh, I forgot to photograph my My Beauty Diary orders!

Sasa.com's customer service was good, too.  I like to inquire with the companies I'm ordering from and the Sasa staff was pretty helpful and quickly attended to my questions.  That was cool.  I hope to review some of these products soon, especially the Cosmagic mascara with its interesting wand ^_^

Dolly Wink Volume Mascara Review

Am I late or what???

Doesn't matter if this was released a couple of years ago because I dare RAVE about it!

And I dare say, "Move over Fairy Drops!"

Because I found a new love!  .

(I don't sound so faithful, at all...  Hehehe!  Dumping these mascaras like stupid boyfriends-- not that I was cruel or had a lot of them, ok?  I've had FAR more mascaras!  :P)

Anyway, over share!  DX
Enough about me!  Let's get down to the star of the show!

☆☆☆
Dolly Wink Volume Mascara Review

What it claims:
◉Waterproof and volume
◉Lashes stay curled and volume lasts for the whole day
◉Sweat-, water-, tear-, and grease-resistant
◉Dries fast so you wouldn't have to worry about smudging

This information was taken from Amazon.com, which I paraphrased.  ^_^

Formula:
5/5  Lightweight, build-able formula (but I don't think you'd want to go beyond two coats).  Does not clump and does not smudge (well, not noticeably).

Ease of Removal:
5/5  Considering its tenacity, it's quite easy to remove so you don't have to fight and tug on your lashes. (Yowch!)

Volume:
5/5  Others claim that it gives more length than volume.  I have hardly-there lashes, and this mascara does wonders to them where they are fanned out and not clumped together.  Hence, my lashes look thicker and fuller.  Loves~

Length:
5/5  Super long lashes! that they may end up looking spidery.  So watch out!  One coat is all you need for an everyday look.

Tenacity/Lasting Power:
5/5  Amazing! It really delivers what it says!  I don't get panda eyes for the rest of the day.  BUT, one time, it did smudge on my lower lashes a bit.  If you are SUPER nit-picky, this may concern you... (-.-)

Brush:
5/5  Totally intelligent design that would have you questioning, "Why aren't other mascaras like it?"  This brush really delivers because it does not clump my lashes but separates them without having them looking very sparse.  It allows the lashes to get complete coverage with the formula.  The little brush at the tip really helps to even coat my lower lashes.

Other concerns:
This mascara can come off as flakes when you are removing it.  This is not a biggie for me but to others it is.  Oh well~
Anyway, it is perfection.  5/5 in all categories!  Need I say more?  If this isn't, then I absolutely don't know what!

The only down side is the frown in your wallet :(  Expensive!  But I've tried Lancome, Clinique, Cover Girl, and a bunch of others, and they aren't up to par... :S  With my little research, I found Dolly Wink to be cheapest at Sasa.com.

With all that said: an undeniable 5/5     ^.^<(Yay!)

Amaze-fest!

My Beauty Faves, ed. 1

Good morning, star shine!  The earth says, "Hello!"

Haha!  That was cheesy, alright!  But it brings Johnny Depp to mind, so it's all good~

Anyway, how's everyone?  This will be the first edition of "My Beauty Faves," which means hopefully I find more!  With this post, I will feature some items that I have tried and come to love ♥♥♥   It's somewhat like a mini-review.  Think of it how you'd like; I just wanna get it out there so the photos I took will not go to waste.  Haha!  (^.~)v

MAC LipGlass in Pink Poodle
What I love about it?
The color, baby!  It's a lovely and fun magenta hue that adds
brightness to my look.  I also like the delicious vanilla scent.
The formula doesn't feel too sticky on my lips.  About its tenacity...
Gee...  I wouldn't really know since I eat and drink so much that
every lip color I've had simply disappears.  Well, it doesn't hurt to
reapply :)

Demi lashes
What I love about it?

I love how more subtle demi lashes are as compared to full lashes but can still
create a significant impact on my look.  So here I have a couple that I have
chopped from my lovely (not to mention expensive... T^T  huhuhu!) Dolly
Wink
No. 4 Feminine Style.  (And I lost them immediately after taking this photo
because as I was cleaning up, I completely forgot about them...  Doubly
T^T huhuhu!)

These are my buys from my trip to Japan.  Their drugstore cosmetics are
of amazing quality and I'll feature some here.  I bought these from
Matsumoto KiYoshi- a large drugstore chain in Japan.

(Not my photo)

Rohto Lycee Eye Drops
What I love about it?
CUTE!  Yep, that's pretty much it.  I like my eye drops more intense.
But it's CUTE...  (And it was only about 5 bucks!)

Cezanne Four Color Lame Shadow palette in 01 Brown
What I love about it?
I love how smooth and lasting the color is; texture feels creamy
but finishes as powder.
Photo from Cezanne's official website.

Koji Spring Heart false eyelashes in 06 Elegant Long
What I love about it?
Natural-looking, flexible yet durable band, each lash hair tapers at the end,
and looks nice in photos.

There you go!  The products I'm wearing here (except
for the demi lashes).  Photo from the bunch I took that
one day I didn't feel so unmotivated.  :P

Dolly Wink False Eyelashes No. 4 Feminine Style Review

Feminine Style seems to be the predecessor of the Otona Kawaii line, No. 10 Sweet Cat.  The arrangement of the hair is quite similar, except that Feminine Style is only half the length.

It looks more natural than Sweet Cat, accentuating only the outer corners of your lashes.  I think it's quite beautiful, as it frames your eyes with dramatic length and curl.
Pros:
  • Hair looks natural, each hair tapers at the end
  • Not shiny
  • Lightweight and comfortable
  • Already curled
  • Lovely, especially in photos
  • Glue really sticks
Cons:
  • Can be a little too long for some but I think it's what makes it pretty in photos :)
That's it!  I like it!  I like it!  I do!  ^__^

P.S.  I got these from the Shoppingholics.com- my go-to store for Asian cosmetics~ :)

With my Geo Mimi in Apple Green- very pretty and comfortable lenses.

of Nicky Minaj... ehehe!)

Dolly Wink False Eyelashes No. 10 Sweet Cat and No. 13 Baby Girl Review

Meow, meow, meow?
(Translation:  Can I ever look as sweet as a cat?)

I've been a cat owner for quite a while now, so I should say that I'm getting pretty good at the language.  XD  Hoho!  I'm leaving that as that...

Tsubasa Masukawa recently released her Otona Kawaii line with Dolly Wink, as you all may well know now.  I purchased No.10 Sweet Cat and No. 13 Baby Girl, hoping to sport that feminine, yet with an edge, look.  Kinda like cats' eyes!

Here's my two-cent about No. 10 Sweet Cat:

Pros
  • Hair looks and feels natural and soft
  • Flexible, delicate, and invisible band
  • Not shiny
  • Nicely curled
  • Glue stays put
  • Makes your eyes sultry and beautiful ^^
  • POINTER: just remember to trim them to your eyes' length so it will not look messy
Cons
  • Can look too dramatic or exaggerated if you're not used to falsies
  • Does not feel as comfortable as No. 11 Pure Sweet

Here's my other two cents (a total of four cents! :D) about No. 13 Baby Girl:

Pros
  • Hair looks and feels natural and soft
  • Flexible lash band
  • Not shiny
  • Glue stays put
  • Not individual lash pieces so it's easy to apply
  • Makes your eyes look cute
Cons
  • Can look too exaggerated
  • Lash band is quite visible on the lower lash line

Honestly, when I was wearing these lashes altogether, I felt I had hairy creatures on my eyes!  They're too dramatic together, and the hairs of the Sweet Cat looked really messy.  Without the bottom lashes, Sweet Cat looked less exaggerated.  Would I dare wear these outside the comforts of my home?  Most likely not... D:

UPDATE: How comfortable you will be with how these lashes look will really depend on you.  Now that I am more used to falsies, this Sweet Cat has been great because I personally think it makes my eyes look adorable.  I'm comfortable enough to wear them in public, but not together with the bottom lashes.  That would need another getting used too.  ^-^  However, I wouldn't want to discredit my older opinion because as a first time user, Sweet Cat did feel too dramatic.

Maybe with Baby Girl 13, it would look more convincing if it were closer to the lash line, which I forgot to try.  If you do try that out, then please tell me~  Thanks!  ^.^

Real Life Sundays, ed. 5

I noticed that I didn't get to post one last week.

It's alright, yah?  Every Sunday is church, family time, then when evening comes I blog about it.  Nothing so exciting to post last time...  Thank you for keeping up with my rather normal life ^^;;
But this time is a little different because:

I straightened my hair!  :D  I don't really
like straightening my hair.  It takes so
much time!  I can't be high-
maintenance with everything!

After a loooooong time, I drew!  My sister said that she looks like a
cartoon when I was aiming for something a little more realistic.  -__-
But what can I do?  Tsubasa does look like a cartoon.

Concept for next week's review with Dolly
Wink in #10 Sweet Cat and #13 Baby Girl.
So, please, be watching out for that ^0^

Also, what's a little different this week is........ my new camera will be here!  I am so excited!  \(^0^)/  You know how long I've tried to be patient. T___T  So, next week will be my review of my other Dolly Wink eyelashes.  I think this will be a fitting task for my camera!

Until we meet again, dears!  Have a great week! ^_________^

Dolly Wink False Eyelashes No. 11 Pure Sweet Review

You wanna be dolly-kawaii?

I've never worn falsies in my entire life, knowing that it would make my make-up routine more complicated  :P  You know, I already take that long in front of the mirror, and my father may kick my butt if I stay any longer (Hehehe...  my father wouldn't do that, but you know!  He's a guy.  He no understand these things.)

But I checked out Shoppingholics because I really like Dolly Wink and since Tsubasa Masukawa released a new line, I thought, "Why not?"  It'd be for review purposes to help other ladies out there who would be considering these false lashes.

Package came after 2 weeks from Malaysia (since there are no direct
flights to Guam, the package went to California first. Hence, the wait).

Tsubasa is so chio here!  Can I be chio
like her?  :D

Nicely curled~

Pros:
  • Hair looks natural
  • Not shiny
  • Lightweight
  • Nicely curled
  • Quite comfortable, even if I were only a newbie ^o^
  • Glue lasts all night, but bring a tube just in case!
Cons:
  • May be too dramatic for everyday wear if you are new to falsies.
  • Separated hair can look unnatural
    • UPDATE: But they are some of the most natural-looking out there

Ja-jang!  My eyelashes will now make any heart a-flutter.  XD

How do you like my dress?  It's only 15 dollars!  Whee~

Wanted my nails to match my lips :)

Btw, I just wanted to tell you a story about this lip color.  I went to Macy's, in mind that I would get the most fantastic lip color I have ever seen.  Since fuschia is so in, I chose this color ^__^  I was beyond happy with my purchase :D  But when I came home and my mother saw me with it, she was horrified! She was watching some scary beans of a documentary about make-up addiction.  She thought I was on my way to becoming a tacky lady with bright green eyeshadow and a saggy face >.<  Anyway, thus my last purchase of make-up for the month.  *sigh*  Life is fantastic like this :D

Dolly Wink Liquid Eyeliner in Deep Black Review

Review TIME!!  Take Two!

I'm on a roll~ ^^

This product doesn't need a lot of introduction, especially since it's such a hot item!  Seriously, mine is just one of sooooo many!

Dolly Wink Liquid Eyeliner in Deep Black Review

Formula
It's great how it glides without skipping, spilling, frustrations, depressions, upsets, POs, so on... :P  The color goes on well and sufficiently dark black.  It can stay for a long time, but does smudge off with extended wear and sebum :(  Easy removal with warm water or make-up remover makes clean-up quick ^^  Formula lasts for quite a while.

Brush
Dolly Wink's design is amazing with its precision brush; good enough for doing some Chinese calligraphy!  It's great for making thin lines, and because it's a pen-type, drawing is really easy and efficient.

Pros
Applies on smoothly.
Nice dark black color.
Waterproof in most occasions.
Easy to remove with warm water or make-up remover.
Great brush!
Amount of formula in the product lasts.

Cons
Not entirely waterproof.
Can come off with extended wear and sebum.
Can be expensive: $17-$19

Conclusion
Dolly Wink Liquid Eyeliner has been my go-to eyeliner for a long time now.  Its brush makes "eyelining" quick and efficient, that's why I love it so much.  I wish to buy again but it can be a little pricey, and I've already bought a cheaper one, but of great quality, by Etude House.  The formula is really good too because it's waterproof for most occasions.  I found out today that it doesn't stand a chance to Guam's torrential downpour!  ☂☂☂  From the parking lot to the school building, I ended up soaking wet and with a bit of a fever T^T And that's why I am home right now, having the time for these reviews.  ^____^

Hey there, beautiful!

Pardon my awful Chinese! >.<

Ooooh!  See how it tapers so!

Want to know how I got this look?  Please check out
"My Cup Runneth Over" entry.

I hope this had been helpful to you!  I am gonna get some zzz's now and recuperate!  Thanks for stopping by~  ^.^

PS
You can buy this at Honeycolor, Shoppingholics, Artiestyle, and a bunch of other Asian online stores.

Testing, testing, 1-2-3.

The camera makes a difference in how well the photo turns up!  Thanks to my Ate for letting me borrow her camera! ^^

I'm kind of hard on myself when it comes to doing things :(  (I should cut myself slack more...)  But I am quite happy because the following photos are much better than my point-and-shoot.

Here are a few photos of things I want to review someday soon~ :)
