Whatever is True, Noble, Right, Pure, Lovely, and Admirable

Ever heard of that old adage, "The eyes are the windows of the soul?"

Rather than examining someone's pupils to see what's within, I think the saying refers to the fact that what we see, read, and entertain into our minds through our eyes have undeniable effects on us.

-___-  Today, I read some things online that I really shouldn't have for although they were intriguing, something was really tugging on my conscience.  Afterwards, I felt sad and really bothered...  So bothered, that I had to write about it.  :)

"The eyes are the windows of the soul" because what we feed into our eyes, feeds our minds.  I think that we ought to be more careful with whatever we do, they would not delight in dishonoring others, no matter how remote we think the other parties are.

Indeed, God's word rings true, "Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things" (Philippians 4:8).  Healthy thoughts and healthy minds and healthy eyes.
